Trend Alert! Wedding Dresses with Pockets

Although wedding dresses with pockets have been a findable option since at least the 90s, the trend really found it’s footing around 2012. Luckily, it never died back down. We’re here to be your official source and say, pockets are here to stay!
Our experience is that a bride looking for pockets is a little more casual. She wants to feel comfortable on her wedding day, and stays true to herself. A utilitarian concept is important to her, and she recognizes that there’s no harm to purchasing a dress with pockets, as they can easily be sewn up if she changes her mind!

Why Wear a Wedding Dress with Pockets?
Not a pocket bride yet? Here are a few reasons to hop on the pocket trend that might just change your mind:
- Touch-ups: Pockets eliminate stress by allowing you to keep your wedding day must-haves close. Whether it’s your favorite lipstick, a sample of your wedding day perfume, oil-blotting sheets for summer brides, or anything else that you might want to touch up over the course of your wedding day.
- Sentimentals: Carry your something blue, that family heirloom wedding ring, or a note from a loved one who has passed away down the aisle with you on your big day.
- Vows: Don’t want to carry your vows in your hand, but need them handy up at the alter? Keep the photo-ops perfect by tucking your vows in the pocket of your dress for easy access. Plus, if you know they’re on you, you don’t have to stress about losing them! An adorable idea? Write down little thoughts/impressions you have on the back of your vows throughout your wedding day for your future partner or just to look back on!
- Aesthetic: Pockets are effortlessly cool and add a laid-back element to your wedding look. If you’re all about comfort, practicality, and ease, wedding dresses with pockets totally fit your vibe.
