What is Sottero and Midgley?

Up for a quick history lesson? Let’s dive into our couture bridal brand of glamorous wedding dresses and how it came to be!
Sottero and Midgley gowns have a price point that ranges from $1,700 – $4,300 USD, making them what some people would consider to be the most highly esteemed luxury gowns in our lineup. That’s not to say that all our gowns aren’t fabulous! These glamorous wedding dresses just happen to be especially jaw-dropping and fashion-forward styles with unique and daring details.
Sottero and Midgley luxury gowns are designed with elevated styling for a one-of-a-kind statement. Words we would use to describe these couture bridal designs? Modern, sophisticated, cutting edge, luxe, and daring all come to mind. (Just to name a few…)
Ready to talk about history? Here’s a quick run-down. Our co-founder and design innovator Lesley Margaret (“Maggie”) Webster assumed the alias of “Maggie Sottero” and launched our core brand in 1997.
In 2006, we introduced Sottero and Midgley, a couture line for the chic, statement-making bride. The name recognizes the next-generation involvement of Lesley’s daughter, Kelly Midgley, Maggie Sottero’s CEO and Creative Director.
Since then, we’ve added our third label Rebecca Ingram, which we love. But today is all about our Midgley Brides so we’ll keep this history lesson short.
