Our History

  • 1997 – Our co-founder and design innovator Lesley Margaret (“Maggie”) Webster assumed the alias of “Maggie Sottero” and launched our core brand.
  • 2006 – We added a second label! 2006 marked the debut of Sottero and Midgley — cutting-edge styles designed for brides with chic, edgy, and discerning tastes.
  • 2016 – In honor of Lesley’s grandmother, we launched the Rebecca Ingram label — high-quality designs at affordable price points.
  • 2017 – Our Curve line was debuted with Liris Crosse as our model champion. Liris was the first plus-size winner of Project Runway
  • 2018 – Maggie showcased our first plus-size model on the runway.
  • 2020 – This year featured the introduction of Personalize It! For Your Love Story, a program that allows brides to truly personalize their gowns to complement their unique love stories.
  • 2022 – This year marked our 25-year anniversary of making brides’ dreams a reality.
  • 2023 – We proudly introduced sustainability initiatives to reduce our impact on Mother Earth. This unique and impact-driven program is part of our commitment to creating positive solutions for current (and future) generations of brides.
  • 2024 – Industry-First Textile Recycling Program with SuperCircle.

Three Lines, One Signature Maggie Magic

We have three lines here at Maggie, Maggie Sottero, Sottero & Midgley, and Rebecca Ingram. Maggie Sottero is our most elegant, romantic, and timeless line. This line full of our most popular wedding dresses reflects our commitment to creating covetable designs that highlight a bride’s heart, vision, and personality. Sottero & Midgley is our couture brand, glamorous, trendy, confident, and as unique as the bride who wears it. Finally, we have Rebecca Ingram, which features beautiful gowns for budget-savvy brides.

Not to worry, though, all our lines feature our signature Maggie Magic. Maggie Magic means every bride gets to feel her best on her wedding day. We achieve this by offering enhanced support and shaping in the construction of your gown itself so you can look and feel flawless when you put it on without any additional shapewear.

How to Find Your Maggie Gown IRL

Spotted: you, walking into your very first bridal boutique, eyes wide, heart racing, already picturing yourself doing a dramatic slow-mo twirl in the gown. Some of the most magical “yes” moments happen on the very first appointment. Why? Because when you’re surrounded by racks of popular wedding dresses, the people you love most, and a stylist who feels like your personal fairy godmother, you can totally stumble upon the one before you’ve even finished your first round of try-ons. So lean into the moment, trust your gut, and don’t let the myth that “you have to look everywhere” rob you of that instant heart-flutter magic.

That magic is one reason why we’re superfans of the brick and mortar bridal boutique. After all, shopping online is unpredictable, impersonal, risky, and not nearly as glamorous and fun as shopping in person. You’ll also get undivided attention from fabulous stylists when you shop in person to help you put together your perfect bridal ensemble. They’re trained to help point you in the direction of your most flattering silhouettes, fabrics, colorways, and more! In short, they’re there to help you find the best of our best-selling wedding dresses!

The Dresses Speak for Themselves (And Brides are Listening)

Maggie gowns are loved by real brides not just for their jaw-dropping style and swoon-worthy fit, but for that unmistakable Maggie Magic construction. You know, the kind that makes you stand a little taller, smile a little wider, and maybe happy cry just a tiny bit when you catch your reflection. These popular wedding dresses are designed to celebrate every love story, every body, and every kind of bride, from the boho dreamer with wildflowers in their hair to the city-chic goddess who lives for sleek lines and skyline views.

It’s important that we mention that just because Maggie features some of the most popular wedding dresses on the market doesn’t mean you’ll look like anyone else. Each Maggie dress has this way of feeling uniquely you, like it was whispered into existence just for your walk down the aisle. It’s the perfect blend of fashion moment and forever memory. A gown that turns heads, tugs heartstrings, and makes your fiancé’s jaw hit the floor (in the best possible way). Popular? Yes. Predictable? Never.
