Maggie Bride: Ashley’s Romantic Rustic Wedding

November 3

Today’s wedding from Maggie Bride Ashley, who wore Karena Royale, has all the makings of a perfectly romantic rustic wedding. Set at The Inn at Sawmill Farms in West Dover, Vermont, the couple incorporated antique items to personalize their wedding. “It was very us,” Ashley said. “We love antiques and rustic items, so we played off that, and the overall look just developed from there!” To accompany her rustic romantic wedding, Ashley chose Karena Royale, a stunning strapless lace wedding dress. “My favorite part of the dress was the lace detail…It was exactly what I was hoping to find to go with our vision for a romantic rustic wedding.” We’re completely swooning over this stunning wedding… See more photos and read more about Ashley’s day below!

Dress: Karena Royale

How did you know when you found the dress? “I tried on many dresses the first time I went to look, the Karena Royale being one of them. I just kept thinking about it and going  back to it. So I went back, tried it on one more time, and knew it was perfect!”

Favorite wedding day moment: “When we looked out at the dance floor and almost every guest was dancing, it was such a fun night.”

Advice for future brides: “Stay organized, have fun with the planning, and have a day-of coordinator. We did not and luckily our family and friends really stepped up to help with all the last minute details but it would have been nice if they didn’t have to and could have just enjoyed the day.”

How did you and your now husband meet? “We met when his best friend worked with my best friend for a summer when we were all home from college over 10 years ago. We saw each other in passing over the years and then went on our first date and from there, the rest is history!”

Your wedding in one word: “FUN!”

Did anything unexpected happen on your big day? “We had torrential rain the weekend before our wedding and had expected the ground to dry out before our tent went up, it didn’t so there was a lot of mud. Luckily a family friend came to the rescue and brought some hay to put down.”
