“I loved my wedding dress. As someone who has struggled with body image and weight, I am used to being limited in designs available for me. This dress took me out of that and gave me opportunity to truly embrace everything about me. It allowed me a moment to celebrate myself rather than focus on the insecurities.”

“The volume of the skirt was to die for. Because of how short I am this ended up being more like a ball gown. I also really loved the straps on the shoulders. I know all the support comes from the bodice, but the placebo of having straps made my busty self feel better. The support in the bust and bodice was also unmatched. I did have to have the bodice shortened and the armpits taken down, I have a short torso. The twirls are also top-tier. Anyone who loves to twirl will love this dress.”
How did you feel in your wedding dress?
“I’ve never felt better. All the things I usually feel insecure about were either flattering or hidden. The dress showed off the things I wanted to show off, and accentuated the things I like most about my body. I also love the pattern and color. I am a floral girlie and I wanted floral designs, but not on the bodice! It’s hard to find a plain, not boring bodice. Also, love that it came in black. I wanted a gown that felt bridal but in black. Most gowns are vampy/ goth, but this dress is BRIDAL!”

“The material of this dress was unique without sacrificing timelessness. The pockets were an added bonus and we were able to order extra material to make pocket squares and my husband’s tie out of the material which pulled our entire wedding together. Cyprus was a dream.”

“I felt truly beautiful in my dress. As a tall, plus size woman, the bridal world felt inaccessible to me. Maggie Sottero’s dress was the perfect antidote to that feeling. I felt like the most beautiful bride and truly just could not wait for everyone to see me in Cyprus.”
