Q: What are the essential items a bride should bring when trying on wedding dresses?

A: “At Miosa Bride, we recommend the bride arrives to her consultation with her hair and make-up done nicely to better envision her appearance on her wedding day. We suggest she bring a pair of seamless nude undergarments and a strapless bra, even if she isn’t seeking a dress that requires those undergarments. It can be helpful to have a few friendly faces join the consultation… Usually two to four close friends and/or family is best. Lastly, don’t forget a positive attitude and an open mind.”

Q: What tips do you have for brides who aren’t sure how to pick a dress?

A: “Prior to her consultation, we recommend the couple already have their venue finalized. This will help the bride envision what the whole day will look like. This will definitely help an unsure bride with her decision in which dress is ‘the one’.”

Q: What trends are you seeing in your region?

A: “Fitted with low backs, delicate laces, light beading, lace sleeves and lots of tulle!”

Q: What is your favorite part about working with brides?

A: “We love making them feel special, being part of their big day. Brides are fun and full of energy, and sharing that special moment of finding their dress.”

Q: Which Maggie Sottero/Sottero & Midgley gown would you choose to wear for your own wedding?

A: “We love Miela, Amarosa, and Patience.”

Q: What is your favorite bridal trend?

A: “We’re loving low backs and long sleeves… They look chic and classy, but sexy.”

Q: If you could tell brides one thing, what would it be?

A: “Trust your instincts, don’t let others influence your decision to the point where you are no longer happy. This is your day, make it happen the way you want to remember it!”
