Filled with gorgeous shades of blue, and a stunning illusion back wedding dress Melanie<\/strong><\/a>, this intimate elopement is all things a wedding should be… Romantic, intimate, and completely true to the couple. The couple, who eloped 44 days after their engagement, held a small ceremony at the Alderedge House<\/strong><\/a> in Dallas, Texas. “I was able to have my dream wedding without the stress and financial strain of a larger wedding,” Hanna said. “Remember to stay true to what you and your spouse want.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Hanna, finding her wedding dress was as magical as finding her groom to be. “I knew that I had found ‘the dress’ when the tears started falling and I truly felt beautiful,” she said. “It was that moment everyone talks about but I didn’t believe was possible.” Photographer Charla Storey<\/strong><\/a> captured every moment of this breathtaking intimate elopement. Wedding Dress: Melanie<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your favorite part of your wedding dress?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“I adored the delicate neckline and the illusion back. The dress was romantic and it made me feel beautiful!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your favorite wedding day moment?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“My favorite moment was the anticipation leading up to seeing my groom for the first time. Focusing on him as I walked down the aisle was the most romantic moment of my life. I will never forget the look on his face and the love that I felt!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you and your now husband meet? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“Nick and I met during our junior year at Tarleton State University. We found ourselves in three of the same courses and developed an instant connection. The more time we shared together the easier it was for us to see that we had something special.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did he propose? “Nick proposed at our home on December 6, 2014 after we finished decorating our Christmas tree. I was admiring the tree when I turned around to find Nick on his knee, ready to propose. It was perfect and I was completely surprised!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Describe your wedding in one word<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I would say my wedding was “intimate” if I had to describe it in one word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you decide what you wanted your wedding to look like? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“I wanted a classic meets whimsical look for our wedding but I didn’t have the slightest clue how to do it. So we hired Windy Kay, from Birds of a Feather Events, to bring our vision to life. Windy was the heart and soul behind the final look of our wedding. Everything was perfect\u2014so much more than I could have ever imagined!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advice for future brides? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“Elope, have a short engagement, and hire a wedding planner. We eloped 44 days after our engagement and couldn’t be happier! I was able to have my dream wedding without the stress and financial strain of a larger wedding. Remember to stay true to what you and your spouse want.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
