“As a travel writer, I was invited on an all-expense paid press trip to Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for five days. I was invited with a guest, so I naturally brought Jon… never thinking he would propose there. On our second day, we went kayaking in the Sea of Cortez, and had a blast – we even jumped from the top of a 25-foot rock in the middle of the water! I had no idea what was coming later that day. After napping and lunching by the pool, we returned to the room and I commented on a nice bottle of Champagne in an ice bucket… I thought it was a welcome gift from the hotel! Jon asked me to connect his iPad, and there, in our bathing suits, he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. I was blown away – crying, screaming, laughing… It was a moment I will never forget. We wanted to take some time to soak in that moment; sitting on the balcony, we watched the ocean and sipped our Champagne.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Then it was time to call our families.
