Maggie Bride Danielle wore Francesca<\/a> for her cruise-ship wedding in Tennessee, featuring a lace illusion back and shimmering Swarovski embellishments. She and her husband-to-be kept things \u201csimple\u201d for their intimate ceremony and occasion\u2014in keeping with Danielle\u2019s philosophy that a wedding is about the couple\u2019s commitment, not necessarily the frilly details. (But hey, jewel-toned orchids never hurt!)<\/p>\n

Which Maggie Sottero gown did you wear?<\/strong>
\nFrancesca<\/a> with the higher back option. I believe both the slip and lace overlay were the cream color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you know when you found “the dress”?<\/strong>
\nThe Francesca made me feel like I was beautiful in the dress, not that the dress looked beautiful on me. It made me feel confident, comfortable (both extremely important!), and quite honestly, I had a gut feeling that my future husband would love this one the best\u2014which made me a very happy and excited bride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your favorite part of the dress?<\/strong>
\nI loved the back. The design was so beautiful and romantic where the slip is open and the lace overlays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you and your partner meet?<\/strong>
\nI like to say my husband picked me out of a queue! He really did though. He worked at Verizon at the time and I guess I caught his eye when I walked in to get a new phone. He dallied a bit until my name popped up in the queue then came over to help me (mine was the only female name on the board so lucky for him it was easy!). I was new to the area and he offered to show me around town if I wanted and we started dating after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did he propose?<\/strong>
\nWe were exchanging gifts on Christmas Eve, just the two of us at home, and he had gotten up (nervously), started talking about how amazing everything has been, how happy he is with me and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and proposed then. I said \u201cYes, of course!’ and we were up until 3am talking about our future together. I later learned that he had planned to propose in front of my family on Christmas Day. I was grateful he proposed when it was just the two of us; otherwise, I feel like we never would have had a time to truly enjoy that moment together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where did you get married? <\/strong> We got married on the Volunteer Princess Cruise boat in Knoxville, TN, while cruising along the Tennessee River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you decide what you wanted your wedding to look like? <\/strong> It was never something I dreamed of like many girls growing up, so it was really a team effort with my husband to come up with all the details. We wanted simple and stuck with it. I never would have been able to plan all that or deal with not only the vendors but also to reign in some family and friends from being overzealous without him. It made the wedding truly OUR wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your favorite wedding day moment? <\/strong> There are so many I loved that I’m not sure I have a favorite. I don’t want to break it apart and analyze it, I only want to view the event as a whole wonderful moment in life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What advice do you have for future brides? <\/strong> Your wedding day is only a celebration of the commitment you and your partner have already promised to each other. So if anything bad happens that day, let someone else deal with it. Go enjoy your party\u2014you both deserve it!<\/p>\n
