We’re absolutely smitten with today’s wedding, from Maggie Bride Lindsay. Held at the gorgeous golf course, Daniel Island Club in South Carolina, Lindsay’s rustic chic wedding featured vintage details and lovely pastels. Those parasols? We’re in love. Captured by the talented Jennings King Photography, we can’t get enough of these lovely details and southern glamour. See more photos and read more about Lindsay’s beautiful wedding below!
How did you know when you found the dress? “I tried the dress on early in my search. I really loved it as soon as I put it on, but I was having so much fun trying on dresses that I wasn’t quite ready to commit. Every other dress I put on, I kept comparing it to the Bronwyn. After another full day of dress shopping, nothing compared and I went back and bought the one!”
Favorite wedding day moment: “That’s so tough to choose! I loved the whole day! If I have to choose, I would say the moment right after the ceremony. Collin and I were so happy since we were officially married! We were so excited to see all of our family and friends to start celebrating!”
Advice for future brides: “Be sure to find some time for just you and your new hubby on your big day. I loved the time we got to spend together during our first look. We also snuck outside during dinner to take a few more pictures and it was great to have a few minutes to stop and take everything in together. Enjoy and cherish every second of the day. It flies by! And hire the best photographer and videographer because their work will capture and help you remember your special day forever!”
How did you and your now husband meet? “We briefly met through mutual friends out in Chicago. A few months later, we met again at a summer rooftop birthday party. Our first day was the following weekend and the rest is history!”
Did anything unexpected happen on your big day? “We planned for an outdoor ceremony. Dark clouds and rain rolled in about an hour or so before our ceremony was suppose to begin. We moved the ceremony under a covered patio, which turned out to be just as wonderful! It was a smaller area, so everyone sat close together and it made the setting feel very intimate.”
