Britney Shelton, Maggie Bride
I know before I even began shopping for my dress that I wanted it to be a Maggie Sottero. My sister-in-law had worn a Maggie for her wedding and it was stunning! The corset back was what really got me. We became engaged on December 8, 2011. We decided we wanted a fall wedding, so we decided on October. I had a little over 10 months to plan my dream wedding. I really wanted something with a vintage/country feel. My wedding was at my grandparents' home which sits on 7 acres of land. I immediately decided I wanted a lace gown. Initially, I found one Maggie dress that I really loved, but it turned out they no longer made that style. I was told I could buy the sample I tried on or come in for another look. I opted for another look. I loved the idea of the dress being made for me and for my measurements. My mom and I went in a second time and I tried on about 4 more dress. Lorie was the second dress I tried. I absolutely loved how it fit and how it felt. It just seemed right. I tried on the final 2 dresses, but the whole time my mind and heart kept going back to that second dress. I tried it on one more time and decided that this was it. Lorie was the dress in which I would marry my best friend and my love. I couldn't wait until my wedding day when I could put on my dress and have that feeling of pure happiness and beauty in a classic, yet elegant gown.
