Words cannot describe the experience we all had with our dream-come-true wedding in Moorea, French Polynesia. One of the most beautiful places on the planet, and the most generous, caring, and loving culture made our events more than perfect. We were able to travel there with our parents, siblings, a few close friends, and our awesome photographer. We started out our amazing trip with a group trip out to a pineapple plantation where we got to pick as many pineapples as our hearts desired and saw views that still have us pinching ourselves to believe we were really there. The Big Day started off with the legal marriage ceremony at the City Hall in Papetoai, Moorea. We then headed to the InterContinental to get ready and have our Polynesian inspired ceremony and our day ended with the most tasteful spread of food and entertainment consisting of traditional Polynesian music and dancing. The next day started off at a local church to be officially welcomed into the culture. We are so lucky to be the first non-Polynesian couple to be accepted. We then headed to the Tropical Gardens for a private party just for us where we ate a traditional Polynesian meal with drinks and a nice hike to a beautiful waterfall. The rest of the days on our trip consisted of exploring the island, snorkeling and swimming in the most clear, turquoise colored waters we have ever seen. Truly an experience of a lifetime! When we came back home, we had a reception with all of our family and friends starting off with a cocktail cruise on the American Lady boat down the Mississippi River. We were then dropped off at our venue for dinner and dancing.
