Michelle Williams, Maggie Bride
We were married on April 29, 2012 in Georgetown, Massachusetts. We had an afternoon wedding, and everything turned out perfectly. It was a little chilly, but the sun was shining and we were able to celebrate with all of our family and friends on a beautiful spring day. When I went shopping for a dress, I knew exactly what I didn't want, but I wasn't sure what exactly would make me feel like I had on "the" dress. I tried on short, long, ball gown, A-line, etc. The moment I put on Rosalyn, I was done shopping. I didn't want to take it off, and my best friend/maid of honor said. "That's it! We have the dress!" A week later, my parents came to the shop to see the dress. I put on Rosalyn, and my dad said, "Ok, we're done, you've got it!" My mom wanted to see others on me, but I knew Rosalyn was really the one when my dad got frustrated looking at other dresses. He felt that I had found the one that made me feel beautiful, why were we wasting time on dresses that didn't make me feel like that? The only item that was added to my dress was my great grandmother's handmade handkerchief. She had made one with light blue flowers on it and my parents had it sewn into the lining of my dress for my "something old and something blue". The day of the wedding, my husband LOVED my dress. I got many, many compliments on it and how it didn't look like a "typical" wedding gown. Our colors were ivory, silver and black, and our wedding had a vintage, art deco feel to it. Rosalyn fit right in with that vibe, and I'll treasure that dress for the rest of my life. When a gown makes you feel so gorgeous you want to sleep in it or wear it to work, it's a winner.
