Cait Cassar, Maggie Bride
The dress - I never knew what type of gown I wanted, but once I started looking I gravitated towards all flowy organza sculpted skirts and always a sweetheart bodice. I always went back to the Dynasty. But since it was so new, no one in my area had it. I had called over 20 salons. I even drove to Brooklyn just to see it in person in a trunk show but it had sold. I decided to never try on another dress and to order it without ever having worn or even seeing it. I knew it was meant to be. It was the perfect dress for someone who was super artsy and it was perfect for our venue.
The newlyweds - About a week after meeting my wonderful husband, nearly 3 and a half years ago, I called it that I knew we would get married. 2 1/2 years later we were living together, 3 months after that we were engaged and then 6 months after that we were very happily married. We had an industrial city wedding. Complete with lots of wedding photos in front of walls of graffiti. We wed and celebrated under the stars on the rooftop of a hotel on the water overlooking the Manhattan skyline, under the 59th street bridge. It was magical. We couldn't be happier. We wanted an untraditional, unique, modern wedding and we strongly feel we succeeded. We both take time each and every day to appreciate that we have each other every day for the rest of our lives.
