Stacey Reinwand, Maggie Bride
My husband, Justin, and I had the most romantic wedding in the vineyards of Temecula, California. It was military themed as he is a Captain in the Marine Corps so we had very handsome groomsmen and a 10 person sword arch in their dress blues. The ceremony started at 4 o clock with around 120 in attendance. My father walked me down the aisle as Pachebel was played by the string quartet. My colors were a regal red, eggplant purple, and lemon very sparingly. My cascading bouquet consisted of baccara roses, calla lilies, asiatic lilies, white wax flowers, and spray orchids. I had 6 women in my bridal party and Justin had 5 groomsmen. His best man was in honor of his best friend, Captain Ryan K Iannelli, who was killed in action in Afghanistan last year. After the ceremony for an hour while we took pictures, the remaining guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails. The courtyard where the altar was, was transformed into the dining area. The rest of the night was a blissful blur with dancing, the cake cutting, a slide show projected on the ceiling of our childhood and early years of dating and around 10 p.m. it was time to go. We spent 10 wonderful nights in Bora Bora on our honeymoon.
The Bernadette was the 3rd Maggie dress I tried on and knew immediately it was the one for me. I went into the boutique knowing that I wanted to wear Maggie Sottero and I wanted capped sleeves and a big beautiful train. From research I thought my gown of choice would be the Florencia which happened to be the first dress I tried on. The second dress was the Milania, but when I walked out of the fitting room in the Bernadette I burst into tears as well as my mother. From that reaction I knew that it would be my special dress. I tried on 2 more dresses after that, but my mind was set on Bernadette. I got SEVERAL compliments that day and everyone just loved the keyhole back. I felt beautiful in that dress and was so happy I got to be a Maggie bride.
